Law firms

AI systems built for your firm

You already know what eats your time: reconstructing the facts of a heavy case file, tracking down a document, keying the same information into one tool after another. I build, install and document systems that prepare that work inside your firm, under your rules and, if you choose, without a single piece of data leaving it.

AI prepares; the lawyer checks, decides and validates.

What you put at stake

A case file that leaves the firm does not come back

For a lawyer, picking a tool is not picking software: it puts your judgment, your reputation and your professional liability on the line. Privilege covers everything, and there is no “roughly” version of privilege. So the first question is never whether the tool works, but where the documents go, who can read them, and what you will be able to account for if you are asked.

Secrecy first, features second

Nothing leaves the firm unless you decided it would. The deployment can stay entirely on your own hardware: in that case documents never cross your walls, neither to be processed nor to be stored.

Your regulators’ rules as the specification

The framework your regulators set (GDPR, the Conseil national des barreaux in France, the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the UK) is not a box ticked once the system ships: it frames the build from day one. And where a requirement is not met yet, it is written down as such rather than left unsaid.

You keep control at every step

AI prepares; you check, decide and validate. Nothing answers on your behalf, nothing is sent without your approval, nothing is decided for you. Every element put forward points back to the document it came from, so you can verify it.

Use cases

What a system can take off a firm’s daily plate

These are not products on a shelf, and none of them is offered as one. As things stand, only the case timeline and the pseudonymisation module exist in built, measured form; everything else is a direction of work already scoped, whose perimeter is settled in the quote, with no commitment at this stage to integrating any particular practice-management software.

Case analysis

Case timeline

Reconstructing the facts of a heavy case file takes hours, and every fact you keep has to be defensible with the document in hand.

You drop in the documents; you get back a timeline where every event points to its source document and to the verified quotation it rests on. Demonstration coming.

Confidentiality

Case pseudonymisation

Professional secrecy forbids sending identifying data to a generative AI. This is the route the CNB guide points to.

A module that runs on your own machine, before anything is transmitted, and replaces identities with stable labels. The lookup table never leaves the firm.

Case analysis

Reading and sorting a case’s correspondence

A case mailbox piles up hundreds of exchanges, and what matters drowns in the rest.

The timeline’s sibling module: cut the correspondence down and surface what counts, each element pointing back to the message it came from.

Completeness

Missing-document detector

You notice a document is missing the day before a deadline, when fixing it costs the most.

Working from what a given case type requires, the system lists what is on file and what is still missing — continuously, not the night before.

Firm knowledge

Internal search across your archives

Your past pleadings and opinions hold answers nobody can find again.

Your archives become searchable in plain language; every answer cites your own documents only, with a link to the source file and according to each person’s access rights.

Oversight

Morning briefing

Deadlines, dormant files and letters awaiting a decision are tracked from memory, or not at all.

A daily digest read from the firm’s own tools: deadlines coming up, files with no activity, letters awaiting a decision. It sorts and flags; it answers nothing and sends nothing.

Filing

Filing of incoming documents

Attachments and scans stack up in mailboxes until someone finds the time to file them.

Every incoming document is identified, renamed to your conventions and filed in the right case. A proposed filing that you approve — never a send.

Data entry

The end of double entry

The same client information is re-keyed into the practice software, the billing system and a tracking sheet.

One point of entry; the system propagates the information and keeps the tools consistent with each other. Pure wiring, no AI where a rule is enough.

Billing

Billing follow-up that forgets nothing

Unbilled work and invoices with no follow-up: what keeps the firm alive rests on somebody’s memory.

The system watches closed files with no invoice and invoices with no payment, and prepares the next step. Nothing goes out without your approval.

French law

The French framework, and the policy to hold to it

This part is specific to practising in France: the Conseil national des barreaux guide “La déontologie et l’intelligence artificielle”, adopted on 13 March 2026, and what it means in practice for a firm putting an AI system into service.

This section stays in French: the charte is written for French law firms under the CNB guide, and so is the form below.

One conversation to find out whether there is anything to build at your firm.

You describe what eats your time; I tell you what a system can take off it, what it will not be able to do, and what that implies on the data side. Nothing to prepare: the call happens without a single case document.
